Review of January

It's hard to believe that the first month of the year is already over. 31 days have come and gone.

I am grateful for all that i have experienced and achieved.

I have run 254 Kms in 21 activities in 28:34 hours

I have done 9 hours of Pilates classes and yoga classes

I have run 3 road races and 1 parkrun

All in all a fantastic month - mileage on target for Comrades training and 31 days of physical activity. I've run with great people and been reminded to run my own race.

I've baked chocolate chip cookies and red velvet cupcakes for friends, sent my two children to high school, been to see The Parlotones in concert. I've had a facial and a relaxing and rejuvenating massage. I've had coffee and a chat with good friends, played ten-pin bowling with extended family and shared good meals with my cousins. We even shared in the celebration of a 50th birthday.

I have also signed up to run Comrades 2012 for Pink Drive.

With this as my start to 2012 - YAY! Bring it on!

The plan for February includes continuing with a physical activity every day, another parkrun and another 3 races. It is a shorter month but I anticipate my monthly mileage will be about 240kms.

Those red velvet cupcakes looked so good and I'm sure they tasted as good as they looked.

You've had a great month. Keep up the good work.
